JUST COP A GSR. vtec issue.
let me make things less complicatedd..
1. hit vtec on the highway
2.check engine light went on
3. code read- p1259 VTEC System Malfunction fuel air metering
4. anybody went thru the same problem? if do please help.
5. what the worse case can happen.
6. thank you very much for your opinion.
ps. vtec still kick in

First of all it didnt say something vtec some shizz it said P1259 VTEC System Malfunction... Which means you could have a pretty serious problem get a helms manual and go through the troubleshooting for that code..
It says probable causes could be the VTEC solenoid valve, open or short in VTEC solenoid, Valve circuit, VTEC pressure switch, open or short in VTEC pressure switch circuit, ECM
Try resetting your ECM... unplug your BACK UP (7.5A) fuse from the under-hood fuse/relay box for 10 seconds
Also so you dont get flamed and so people can understand you and help you a little easier write a little more clearly

honestly i don't really understand...i kno u want some sort of comment so i'm leaving one...cars and racing is an expensive sport...it seems like everything will be expensive...as for ur issue? u say it struggles between 0 and 3000 rpms? maybe its your throttle body? intake? idk...i'm sorry i can't really help but at least i'm responding

I dont think anything bad will happen, as in irrepairable damage but basically the vtec wont engage and you'll be loosing power and your car probably wont rev past about 7k
