Ok 91 si civic b16a, i already timed my car to 16* regular, but then i read you have to jumper the service plug to actually set the timing correct.
My jumper doesent work.. Somone said you can jump the wires off the ecu..
So any1 know which wires they are?

WRONG!!!
its under the dash on the passengar side.look by the pa sensor ull see it its a 2 pin service connector.cant think of wire colors off hand without looking at it but trust me is there.its the only 2 wire clip there.fyi the connector is blue!by any chance if its cut just take the two wires twist them together set the timing and then untwist them.

You guys are not getting me.
I know where the clip is, i have it, ive jumped it. But somone where along the wire loom where i cant get to its cut, or somthing , because it doesent work when i jump it. So i need to know which wires to jump at the ecu.

as long as the car is fully warmed up and idling below 750rps, even without it jumped you should be able to set the timing fine. by the way I had the same problem, when mine was jumped nothing happened, I timed it like I stated above and it was fine. Now that im obd1 I can jump it from the jumper harness. good luck
Im dealing with the same problem with my 90 crx dx, it says to jump the ignition timing adjusting connector which i have done, but it doesnt seem to do anything.
I guess you have to do it to cancel out the ecu so it doesnt make changes while your trying to time the car, ive jumped mine and tried to time the car but the red mark doesnt even move close to the timing marks on the cover it stays about an inch or so away.

Yea ours are supposed to, i know it does.
If you have no codes and you jump it, the CEL should coem on and stay solid. If you have codes it will flash them on the CEL.
I need to time my car, so i know somone should know which 2 wires are the ones to jump at the ecu.........

jumping the service conn. keeps the timing marks on the crank pully from jumping all over the place whille trying to set the timing.ive done it without useing it but it seems quciker to just jump it,.
fyi, i have had times the jumper didn't work, but it was because i didn't fully insert the wire/paperclip or had a bad connection. if your CEL works before you start the car, it should come on when you jumper the connector. if it never comes on, then replace your bulb
