Hondata S200B 3-Step vs. Hondata S300 3-Step Anti-Lag

Default Hondata S200B 3-Step vs. Hondata S300 3-Step Anti-Lag

I currently have Hondata S200B w/3-Step (Not Hooked up)
Referring to http://www.Hondata.com site they have a test video unit on a EG & Does not impress me much..the 3-step does not sound aggressive compared to AEM, Haltech, MSD EMS...

My Q's is how is the anti-lag between the S200 vs. S300 @the same boost levels?
Also which one of the 2-units have the more aggressive anti-lag (such as the drag cars) ?

the s200 is just your basic 2 step that sounds like a msd 6al for the most part. not aggressive in any way shape or form.

s300 on the other hand, does exactly what your looking for. i could get my s372 to make 19psi and shoot 4 foot flames and break your ear drums. i actually ended up backing it all down.

The s200 is a fuel cut based 2 step and the s300 is either a fuel or ignition or both and has the ability to add fuel and remove timing thus building boost in a "safer" way then the 200 or an older msd6 box, the digital 6 and higher all have timing adjustments.

yes s200 is a fuel cut.

my s200 and set up will make 9psi on the 2step...pretty good i guess. it gets the job done.

When you mean "safer".
Would it still do its job using the S200B? As in be able to load boost like a S300?
or would it be practical to get the S300 just for a 3-Step?

agreed, s300 antilag sounds mean as hell..

if your in the position to be wanting or needing an anti-lag ---- i have very very very strong feelings that it is 210% worth it to upgrade to a S300.

on a fuel cut 2 step you obviously remove the fuel for the interruption, well look at your wideband while on the 2 step. my PLX would read the word "LEAN" which was leaner than 19:1 AFR. now combine this with a turbo constantly trying to increase pressure ratios and the mix gets even leaner

BUT

with a 300 you ahve the option to add fuel as well as pull timing which helps increase boost on the 2 step tremendously and it is more "safe" then the 200.

the 200 was great for an NA car but IMO the 300 2step is outstanding for a boosted car

I would imagine it would take high rpm combined with alot of retard and a bunch of fuel. I hope you are not trying to shoot flames just to be cool, its really not good for the turbo.

flames are from the combination of the heavily retarded ignition timing and added fuel... which basically equals a high velocity mixture still combusting as it exits the motor, goes through the turbine side of your snail (which is what spools the turbo), and ultimately exits out the exhaust.

I was responding to to OP actually captain knowledge. sorry you just happened to be the last person it put a re: to... sorry its been corrected.
