Default Tech Question

I do a lot of city driving and barely if any highway/interstate driving. Usually nothing over 40 mph. My car has been smoking out of the exhaust lately like it has been either burning oil or running really rich. Last night i was out on the interstate a little bit along with getting on it more then i usually do. Now this morning when i went out and started it i noticed a lot of smoke(light blue to a darker blue) i noticed some black fluid, I then proceeded to rev it up a little bit. I then noticed something that didnt appear to be normal.(pictures below) Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this. I am guessing a head gasket.

Thanks in advance!!

i also do alot of city driving (at the moment) and i have the same stuff coming out of my tailpipe. b16. i've recently replaced one piston and rings, and the head gasket on up, except valve stem seals. my car smokes a little in vtec, but that's it. but i have those same stains on my garage floor! i'm guessing it's the valve stem seals or maybe oil control rings on the the other cylinders. either way, i know it's not my head gasket and the car runs pretty well. i think condensation is part of it too, and its bringing out the crap in the exhaust. i'm curious if anyone else has insight on this

time for a leakdown test to find out whats going bad. could be head gasket, piston rings, valve stem seals. have a shop do a leakdown test on it, if its teh vlave setm seals or the head gasket then ur in luck, both are farily easy to do. rings on teh otehr hand is a little more involved, although some people say they are not hard to change either. depending on what engine u have u may just want to rebuild it urself rather then buying a another used engine which could suffer the same fate in a short amount of time.

Meh, could be oil, could be blown head gasket. But do a compression check to see what your numbers are first. If they all are almost the same then your dandy.

Question for the op do you have any mods? Mainly fuel mods. If you, do what psi of fuel are you running? Also do you have cats?

I'm running no cats and a turbo with more fuel than needed. I'm throwing out the black crap also. But its normal for me now. Same thing with my buddy and his fully built gsr, throwing black crap.

(I call it black crap because I dont know what to call it . Its just fuel not burnt to me. Also the combustion that throws out with water also)

Edited:Its not the gaskets on ither of our cars, because its all brand new gaskets from the block up.

would a bad injector (always open or leaking) cause this?? i have an aem regulator and gauge and it almost always drops to zero overnight but no visible leaks or gas smell.

i run it at factory psi 37-47 i think

I had this same problem on my 91 si, and I always thought it was cause it didn't have a muffler, but it also smoked quite a bit. I changed the valve seals, and it didn't stop. i had a little bit of piston travel, and i believe it was bad rings that burnt the most oil.(eventually burnt up too much and the motor blew...)
