Hello, I had posted here a long time ago and still haven't got my 1988 or 89 not sure prelude running. Here is the problem...

I had gotten the car from my Uncle who isn't with us anymore he had comitted suicide... It didn't start when he got it either, not sure what he tried to do to it to get it running but I have tried everything. The engine has been rebuilt according to my dad which my uncle had told him that, it has a DOHC engine in it...

The car will not start but it will try to(it cranks over just won't start), we have spark and everything there is gas in the vehicle as well. We(me and my dad) started looking into the ECU, when you turn over the key shouldn't the LEDs on the ECU flash an error code? Well the ECU is doing nothing at all, is it possible to get a new ECU wiring harness to see if that is the problem? or would it be something else?

Did you post this up on http://www.preludepower.com? It sounds like a new member who had the exact problem.

You should go back to the sight, and read up on the FAQ.s there. Very informative and most members are very willing to help.

I would start with the gas, how old is it, how long has it been sitting in the yard?

Umm the post I posted there, wasn't really a new one now. It was posted around 6 months ago maybe? but I did reupdate that post saying it still wasn't starting and whatnot here is the post for reference as to what has been said http://www.preludepower.com/fo...71889

But, maybe people who don't post there could post here and help me too? I am not sure what could be wrong with it I just want it to run... lol
