Default Shortening clutch pedal push distance when starting ?????

When I start the car, I have to press the clutch pedal all the way down, almost to the floor.
Is there a way to raise or shorten the push distance of the pedal when starting the car ?
My car is a 1990 civic si.

thanks

you could get rid of it altogether, the 88 and possibly 89 crx's dont need to push in the clutch to start the car.

if you found out how to remove it to make it function like the 88's

and the q about loosen or tighten, only one way to find out, be an innovator.
