Default for those with boost by gear, how much boost do you run in the lower gears on slicks?

im wondering for those of you who have boost by gear, what are your boost levels in first, second, and third gear? im running at the track with 24.5" slicks and spin into third off of about 15psi w/ a 35r. my slicks are pretty old, so thats probably not helping any, but i just got a smaller wastegate spring and was gonna play around with my boost levels through s300 and see if i could stop from spinning as much. I know it's good to spin through first some, but i think i should be hooking into second and third. any advice or suggestions?

Well the old slicks are playing a major role in spinning the tires. Get you're self a new set of slick and you should be ok on that part. What boost levels are you running through the gears now?

what air psi did you run in your slicks at the track? I saw your run at NTR. They did not prep the track very good that day also which everyone was complaining about but you did spin really bad through first and 2nd. Also what did you launch at? I had to leave at 5000 building no boost on my second pass just to even get off the line good and still only pulled a 1.9 60ft.

is your tranny going out on you?

i launched at 6800, like i always have, pulled a 1.7x 60' and was running around 9psi in the slicks, although i usually run 7psi

car pulled reallllly hard to the left so i had to let off kinda, i think my ebrake was stuck on the left side, either that or i really need an alignment, which i doubt would make my car pull over that hard

how bad are you spinning??

I was spinning into 4th but it was pulling... felt like it was tearing the slicks all the way down the track...

I was
17- 1st
17-2nd
23- 3rd
26- 4th

The wider the better but anything above 24.5'' you will have to trim the bumper or take it off I had to deal with that in the past. I also noticed at the track that you were not running any wheel spacers at all. I have the same wheel/slick setup you do and when I let the air psi out to around 10 the back of my tire was barely touching the upper control arm and when I pushed the car back you could hear it rubbing so I used a small spacer(slowmo has them in stock). your car may have been pulling to the one side if the slick was coming in contact with the arm...just a thought you may want to look at. My 23'' never touched though.

slowmo dyno day corey had to hold it in reverse and then at the track I just figured you were having some synchro issues. I had issues in my old jdm 16 tranny and replaced them with gearspeed carbon coated ones and never had anymore problems. When you planning on going back out to the track?

hit me up on slowmo if you go to norwalk. I know import faceoff is at 42 on june 1st so I'll be going to that but I love racing at norwalk that track hooks 10x better than trails.

hah norwalk is only like 30 min from my house, but most of the time i end up going out to 42, just because at norwalk you average 2-3 runs and at 42 you get like 10

I would run the M/T 24.5x9x13, my 60ft. dropped once I went to that slick from the 25x8.7x13. But this is my opinion only.
