i just finished my mini-me build (y8 on an a6 block) and when i crank it it revs up it sounds like its not hitting on a cylinder, or maybe it has a bent valve? i'm stumped, anybody have any suggestions on what it would be? maybe the timing is off?

 

you might have a vacum leak

get some carb spray and spray it all around your IM

actually you're probably right, my intake manifold gasket isn't in the best of shape, that would explain it revin up.. but that still doesn't expain why its not hitting on all cylinders, its getting fuel and spark.. its got to be timing, right?
