What you are thinking of is the HFP springs/damper/shocks setup. Not quite coilovers.. but probably better than nearly coilover/spring setup out there right now.
I purchased this a while ago with some convincing from X on here that iwas just a better/cheaper alternative than most other setups. The handling is flat-out amazing, I find myself rarely even braking for lots of turns anymore as my car can just whip right through them. The drop was minimal, but noticeable. They are fairly stiff, and very uncomfortable if you have unkept roads like I do. Definitely a great buy, though, got them for cheaps too

i was thinking of picking up a set of these, but they're ridiculously over-priced here in toronto. the dealership price with employees discount is $1200 + tax. WTF?!?!?!
so i think im just gonna opt for coilovers instead.
