coilover decision help
im new to the forum and well i need some coilovers, im a little spoiled 17 year old and i dont just want springs so im goin with coilovers. i need some help on which ones to get. Ive heard good about the TEIN Super Street Dampers, the Tanabe coilovers and the JIC magic coilovers...now i need to know which ones r best for a street/track set up, thatll give me a good ride, good performance, and an adjustability range that makes the car look nice. Any advice or experience with this would be appreciated...thanks

yeah, for better performance you usually have to sacrifice "good ride." but, if this is a street driven vehicle, you don't need the JIC's or the tein FLEX. higher spring rates on less than perfect roads is not a good thing for overall handling.
so if this is just on a street vehicle, and it's mostly for looks, you've got a couple of options: tein SS or Ground Control Adj Springs and adjustable shocks like the KYB AGX or Tokico Illumina, or the koni yellows. tanabe makes a suspension that is comparable to this setup, but i'm not sure what they're like since they're not as popular as the tein SS.
if this is for a tracked/a-x vehicle, and you need a little more from your suspension, the next level is the Tein Flex/JIC FLT-A2/Buddy Clubs which have a few more features that improve performance for those driving at the limit.
keep in mind that more $ isn't always better. AFAIK ground control + shocks are just as capable as most "full coilover kits".
