no fire, no spark, HELP ME PLEASE
A swapped B 16 A first Gen. (though this may be irrelevant) is not firing. Ghost of a problem...Before Vtech the car ran fine, after about 4000 or 5000 rpm however, the car would lose spark. only after waiting more than 30 minutes or so it would crank back up and run with the same symptoms.
after "breaking" the car on purpose after testing a few things, now the time between no spark and miracle crank up's is more like 3 or 4 hours.
I replaced the ignition coil. (didn't help)
I have no idea what would cause such a spooky problem. Please I really need help!
I am considering getting a new dizzy, although the "old one" only has about 8000 miles on it.
I had read that the Crank sensor could present a similar problem, is that right. if so how is that related?

You could possibly have a bad igniter unit in the distributor. Also check whether the ground wire on the thermostat housing is securely attached and not corroded.
i thought it might be the ignition coil, so i bought one to replace the old one. Before i changed it I started the car and turned if off. I replaced the coil and could not start the car, then decided i would put the old coil back in and cannot start the car again. (both for the same reason...No spark.)
Out of curiousity, How would the therostat prevent the car from starting?

if the thermostat was broken i think that the car would over heat if left running for a long period. this however is not the case with my car. it will idle for hours, turn it off and crank it back up, but when the rpm gets high, (Vtech range) it shuts off and i lose fire. and can't crank it back up for a while...long after the car has cooled back down.
Sorry for the confusion. I wasn't suggesting that your thermostat was bad. It just so happens that a crucial engine ground wire attached to the thermostat housing can come loose and cause no-start problems.
