Factory recall or not?
I drive a '97 EK hatch and I've been having some problems with the driver's side window falling out of the channel every time I roll it down. I read online that it's a very common problem and it gives a list of VINs that were effected and mine's on there. Does anyone know if they have had a factory recall on it or not or has anyone had this same problem that knows how to fix it?
idk if they had a recall give the dealer a call and find out but yes its VERY common every one i know and their mother has that issue did you try to lubricate your tracks?

that is not a recall, that is only a service bulletin which can only be covered under the vehicles factory warranty. since i'm sure your out of the warranty you would have to pay for it if you took it to the dealership to get it fixed.

Yep.
It's not a warranty and it's not a recall. Honda will not pay for the repair.
It is not said to be only on certain cars with certain VIN sequences either.

Make sure the rubber track is in the metal guide and that the window sliders into the rubber track. I just put back my rubber track today on both doors today. Real easy fix.
Also, if your window regulator is not bolted straight, this will cause the window to come off track when you roll it down, or up.
