Daily Driver needs suspension/alignment
Just bought a buddies 90 Honda Civic EX for a daily driver... needs an alignment, but the tie rods on the driver side are bad... Alignment shop said they couldn't do anything with it...
Recently the CV joints were replaced, but they said it needed it again.. I think they're full of it...
What should I replace if I want to get another 60k out of this guy... has 185k on it now
BTW, driver wheel had bad wear issues

Anyone? The other thing I am running into is the sway bar bushing on the driver side is torn apart.. the sway-bar is hanging on, but the bolt doesn't look like I wanna try to tighten it for fear of stripping it... I am going to replace it instead....
parts I need would be helpful? Swaybar is about an inch from the spindle where it should rest...

depends on how bad those tie rods are...you can jack up the car and check them for play. i think autozone has sway bar links and bushings for fairly cheap, or check ebay.
i align my car with a straight edge, laser level and tape measure...30 bucks in materials tops, and i know it's good. there is also a string method, but i haven't tried it. the tie rods will dictate if you can get by aligning it yourself, or you'll have to break down and buy parts. my last tie rod was like $30 with a 1yr or lifetime warranty

thanks for the help... I plan on checking these things out this weekend... since its my to and from work car, I'm not in a huge hurry to replace parts.. but bad tire wear I can't do.. that has to be fixed
