Default Caster

Checked my alignment last night, im at -2.7 up front in caster im way off from spec. If you stand and look at the car form a side point of view, you can see the tire sort of pushed back closer to the door. (not sure if you're understanding that) Here's the thing, couple months ago i hit a curb head on at about 40-50mph. Any idea what is causing my caster to be off wack like that? Thanks

oh never mind, I see you are part of the EJ8 squad.

I think at that speed, that is enough impact to bend the control arms, upper or lower. My guess would be the uppers.

I had the same thing happen but only on the right side, and not as badly as yours. I replaced a bent lower control arm, shock fork, and tie rod end, and it helped. I still have the caster issue and it makes the steering a little twitchy. Now I am convinced that my upper control arm is bent too and possibly my front spindle.

For your car you might have to replace most every suspension part from the crossmember forward??? yours is worse than mine so at the very least everything i need and more??? what do i know. best of luck

here is a pic of my bent control arm, you can use the seam as a guide.
