Does it matter if you reuse the same washers for the drain bolts?
Examples: oil plug drain washer / transmission washer at drain plug.
I am about to drain my transmission and do NOT have an extra washer. I heard you can reheat the washer and use it again. ...or can you just reuse the old washer w/o reheating?

you can reuse it on your tranns b/c how often do you change tranns oil? on the motor oil you could get away with it a couple of times and then i'd go to honda an pay the .50 cents and get another. when i bought my del sol the ring had never been changed and was as flat as foil and the plug leaked and i was like wtf!
use the old one
i always use the old one and never got problems... keep an eye, and if it leaks then change it. but i wouldnt worry about it. they have never leaked on me...
