Drag or Custom Turbo Kit?
I can get a Drag for 2500 shipped without any upgrades or the one from ben for 2699 + S&H.
My dilema is that most of the big components in the drag system suck/always get upgraded. So its a waste of money to buy the kit and then just spend 1500 more for turbo and what not upgrades.
But I think that if I were to just assemble the turbo piece by piece, I wouldnt be able to put a complete kit together. I can buy everything seperately except:
All Necessary Hardware and Fittings
All Necessary Hoses and Hose Clamps
All Necessary Gaskets
Should I just try to assemble a kit on my own and see how it goes? or just get the drag to be safe and then build on it?
Please help.

i have found acquiring the parts for a custom turbo setup takes a long time if you want to get reasonable prices. i recommend getting the kit if you want to boost in the next 6 months. if you're willing to wait (AND you know what you're doing) AND dont mind watching a pile of parts build up at your home, then go custom

But to add to that...If you just want a turbo car that you can assemble relatively quick and have no intentions of seriously upping the boost or horsepower (yeah right!), then the "kits" are fine. If you want more and have time (and money) to spare, custom all the way

Is 1300 for a 60 size t3/t4 and an inline pro manifold too much? it sounds big to me, but i dunno
oh...i noticed you lived in parkville... hmmm...
maybe i should come over and checkout your pile to see if i should get in on the same thing...
my fear is that i wont have the single washer that it takes to put on the turbo and then ill be fucked out of a car for 3 weeks while i find one.

I bought a used DRAG 3 for a pretty good price and have just about sold off everything before even installing it. The last of the parts will probably be posted up within the next week.
