>Please Help Test/Smog test Tune up
I just recently got a Test Only Smog check and it seems that I barely passed. Here is the dianogistic of the Test.
On the HC (PPM) I hit 60 but the limit is 61 so pretty much if I was up 2 more points, I would have failed. The tech said maybe in another two years you might not pass but I wanted to get this fix just in case down the road I still have my car. What do you guys suggest to replace? BTW I have a 98' GS bone stock. Any help would be appreciated

My last check was the exact same, about 6 months ago. I barely passed on that one. The guy says "OH, it's gonna fail" while the test was going.
FWIW, I was getting a code p0420 sometimes (bad cat). I haven't gotten the code since. I'll have to deal with it again in another year or so from now, but for now it passed.
Another very likely culprit could be your Primary O2 sensor running you rich.

My 00 GSR is permitted 35 and 50 for the 2 different speeds (somewhat a big difference for 2 years, but whatever), and tested at 34 and 49 respectively. Completely stock.
Actually, that was test number 2. My mechanic "accidentally" kicked the probe out of the tailpipe the first run though when it wasn't going to pass.
I don't think it is that unusual. Our cars do run a bit rich stock.
A bottle of this dropped the HC count about 30% on an 88 Civic I had previously. Haven't tried it on the GSR yet.

Thats what I assume as well but the tech said its not.... Not sure what else it could be.
