Painting side mirrors/moldings (searched)
Ok so i plan on painting the side mirrors and door moldings along with the 2 plastic chrome trims on the trunk and hood of my car.
i have the colour matched paint and the clear to do it, but i was wondering if i would need a special kinda of base/primer where this is plastic and not metal.
also with the mirrors and moldings just plain plastic with now coating, would i need to sand it first anyway?
any tips and advice would be of great help.
thanks in advance.

are they new? old paint or factory e-coating?
there's tons of different ways to paint plastic, some painter will do adhesion promoter or even flex agent in the paint. I use promoter on softer rubber but for something like mirror i just primer it with a good epoxy primer.
there's not even one chip on my car, consider it's been daily driven on the hwy everyday for a good distance.
