Auto racing in France questions
My wife and I semi-jokingly threw out the idea of moving to France for a few years, and we'd at least like to look into the possiblity more. Finding a job there seems like it would be very challenging, but it's at least fun to consider. We'll start by taking a vacation this year there, and I'm in the process of doing research on the area and like Southern France primarily due to the weather.
It's probably that I'm not searching for the right terms on various search engines, but am having difficulties learning where various tracks are located, what club racing is like in France, do they have HPDEs, ect. Anyone here from France and/or could point me in good direction?

Just some contact info for a British club racer who moved to France a couple years ago. Likely a good resource for Dave, but not a guy with whom I'm well acquainted.
Oh, and then there's my many years of Le Mans experience...

That's a big help!
I'm shocked that we're both actually considering this and haven't backed out already. There's so much to moving especially to another country where English isn't their primary language. I would have to imagine trying to find a job would be extremely challenging.

getting a job can be an issue as well. the EU supposedly only lets you work there if there is all the documentation that no one else has your specific skill set and the employer can prove it......
if you are working for a multi-national company and were transferred, that might be easier. or you might end up working under the radar for cash at a local food place, washing dishes.

My experiences in France.....well Disneyland didnt get too many local visitors due to lack of use of the french language.. of course that changed because Disney decided to make the locals happy....
Can't be easy to get a job over there unless you are part of a company that xfer'd you.
I have my reasons for not going back there ever again.
