Default DA Integra: Starting up and then turning off after being on for a while prior (overheat?)

Hey, i had this problem when i was getting gas but i think it was becuase i had been running the car and only gave a two minute interval to turning it on again.

The car turns on and the RPMs rise then fall but dont stop and the car dies. Could this be overheating? I know the head was resurfaced sometime ago for the car, i heard that gives some indication but i dont know. Anyone know how to fix this or what i can do? Once i get it moving it seems to be ok but i dont wanna risk anything getting worse

i drive a 1991 RS hatchback. Currently my exhuast is bobbling at the flange so i pretty much dont have an exhuast its just hanging there if that helps

it never happens first thing in the morning, only after its recently been turned off.

How do i adjust my idle? What should it be idling at startup becuase it is up around 2k rpms when i start it until iv been drive down the street then it lowers to normal eventualy

check your throttle cable....if you adjust your idle till about one then you should be fine
