rally cross this Sunday at smithton raceway. racing starts at 1pm, gates open at 11. cost to enter is $20. helmet is needed, i usually have a loaner to lend out of you need one. Co-driving a car is allowed. A passenger is permissible, provided they have a helmet as well. for car inspection/tech-- good running order, all loose items removed. battery held down, working seatbelt, small fire extinguisher ($10 at walmart--make sure it is good for electrical fires as well!) car can be trailered in or can be a rust bucket. Just as long as it is SAFE.

also, don't just keep this event delegated to your beater cars, as s2000, evos, and sti, bmw, and audis have participated in past events.

this is a non scca sanctioned event, as we are not scca sanctioned. however, the track carries insurance, so this in not a bunch of people just up to race.

being a non scca race, classes are structured differently-- fwd, rwd, awd all motor. rwd, fwd, awd turbo. so 6 classes-- 3 cars make a class. if 3 cars are not there, then cars are combined in a like class--example, 1 rwd n/a car shows up, it runs w/ the fwd guys much like how scca does 2wd.

so come out and enjoy some laid back but competitive racing.
