Default Well guys im back in the game!

Hey there guys, iknow its not tech related but im just wanting to introduce myself to the ef forums as i will probably be on here a lot with a lot of questions and hopefully a lot of support with ideas. I do well to keep my posts tech related, i just want to introduce myself.

My first car i really got into was a 91 integra,

That was the last picture i had of it before trading it in on an STi. I babied that thing and rebuilt the motor, LS/Vtec with 185hp 160trq at the wheels, it was a fun car but i just wanted something knew.

So i bought an STi

I learned real quick that high car payments were no fun. My intentions were to not have to work on my car all the time anymore, i also learned real quick that i missed working on my car. So i traded it in for a car for my girlfriend and took over payments on here 03 civic

It was a good transition car, but i still yearned not to have any car payments, and to have a car i could enjoy working on, so last night i picked this up!

The altezzas are the first to go. over all the exterior is in great condition, the paint is a little dull, but i can deal with that for now. Its got a muegen replica wings west kit on it, and the stock Si wheels. Strangely the exhaust comes on the right side, instead of the left, that bugs me but oh well ill probably get a different exhaust down the road and take care of it.

The interior is very clean for the year, and what i paid.

You can barely see in that picture, the top of the door panel needs some help, hopefully just be able to do some fiberglass work on it.

Its got all the interior plastic pieces in the rear, all storage compartments and covers!

Other then that door panel all it needs is a new climate control (supposedly someone punched it)

and new seats the drivers side is tore up

The car is lowered on skunkworks coilovers with tokico blues. It has 225k miles on it and runs like its brand new! it handles amazingly and for a d16 it actually feels pretty quick, the tranny has no grinds, clutch grabs strong, car does not smoke!

All of this beauty for 1700!!!

Well there it is, a long intro but im excited to learn more about a new car. No plans yet, just to clean up the interior, then maybe some new wheels, and later down the road ill look into a b16 or something, but for now this is my money saver and its a lot of fun!

def gonna de-rice it. looking for stock tails asap. The projectors, i havent decided yet, i know they are ricey, but i think they would make great for function if i did an HID conversion. As far as the wings west kit, i actually really like that look, i dont feel like its too agressive that its ricey

yeah I was debating on a set of those headlights also since I already have HID's installed on my 4 door, but it kinda looks ricey plus I dont know if they have a cut off like most regular projectors, do they? the kit isnt too bad, i think its just the tails and the color of the car that kill it for me, I think if the car was black the kit would look more appropriate for the car.

yeah my friend has the same kit on his black si hatchback, and it looks very very clean!

I can't afford paint anytime soon, like i said, just gonna lose the altezzas and clean up the interior, and get wheels. I'll probably do a b16 swap, then save up for a paintjob, white or black..

yeah I would do the same thing if I was in your shoes too, tails would be first on my list to go also, I hate those damn things, I cant believe those are what used to be in....hey do those projectors have the little cut off inside the lens so your not blinding the hell out of people if you have HID?

ok so u know how regular headlight, the light shines every where, but on like the tsx and bmws etc, the HID have a straight cut line, those kind of projection where the light is cut half way so its a perfect straight line if you face the car to a wall.

You should get it retinted now. 5% all around would look good on that car the tickets might just not be worth it.

Seems like you payed a bit too much for it considering the miles and work needed. But if you like the car,

Is there sarcasm in there? Because the STi was great, just not the right time for it.. and the CRX, feel like it was worth the 1700, in fact i feel like it was a steal. The car runs like its BRAND NEW, literally. That was the guys selling point, and you would think its just to sell it, but the car really does run great!
As far as work, theres really no work that needs to be done, its just cosmetics.

And yes i do like the car, its a lot of fun to drive, i appreciate the comments and feedback without flames

Yeah thats exactly what i found out. I liked the STi but still missed the DA, just the thought of knowing it was mine, all my work and money into making it what i wanted..
The CRX will be cleaned up and turned into a beast in time. But im sticking with the Wings West kit, my friend has it on his hatch and i've always liked it.
