I don't recall the fuel line connecting to the throttle body, or anything about any kind of fuel going through the throttle body at all. You sure you got that right?

the rail maybe. only coolant and vacuum are throttle body concerns. the fuel rail has a 22mm nut and a washer.

Yes they do, maybe you should just have your mechanic get the part if you can't tell if your car has a fuel rail. I don't mean that in an insulting manner, but I'd hate for you to get the wrong nut/washer combo.

88 Si definetly should have mpfi which means you will have a fuel rail (look for the metal bar across the top of the intake. unless you have a dpfi engine which would explain a nut and bolt coming somewhat close to the throttle body, but im pretty sure your car having dpfi would mean someone decided to do the opposite of everyone else and downgrade.

there we go, yes i do have the dual port fuel injectors, thats why i dont see a fuel rail, so 88 si's dont have fuel rails, but i beleive 89's do? but im no mech i'm just getting into this, hope to swap the whole engine out for a b18 when i get a differnt car and a place with a garage. and i found it, it was a sinch, i just needed to see which one it was. it was an end nut closed end the fuel line conected to a metal conector that was an q sorta that was hollow. that went on to a threaded stud that had a hole in it for the fuel to go into the end nut to cap it all off. thanks a crap load though guys, should have the car running in a couple days. heres my page if ya wanna see it.

if it has dual point fuel injection, it is not an Si engine, or at least doesn't have Si intake on it - 88 Si does have MPFI and a fuel rail - what is the engine code on the front of the block? - are you sure the car is Si and not a DX? does it have a factory steel sun roof?

agreed, its not an si if it is dpfi, si is sport injection which would be mpfi, or sunroof included but guessing its a dx get the right parts, so your not a cobabbled
