I'm not too familiar with the wiring you're talking about, but the symptoms you've described sound like a bad ignition switch. My 97 was doing some of the same things, and I had Honda replace it (factory recall) for free. Problem solved. You should look into that....there are many members here who have discussed this situation before and usually it's been the ignition switch.

However, if anyone has any input about whether or not the wiring you've done is incorrect and may be the source of your problem, then I leave that open for anyone else's 2 cents

Order a new one from Honda for about $40 at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com, slhondaparts.com, etc. It is not hard to install, just remove some trim pieces, unplug some harnesses and re-install.

Its fairly easy to do it yourself, but why bother, if problem exist with the ignition shutting off by itself, just get it done by your local honda dealer since its a recall. Free and Easy

yes its free for all 5th gens from Honda, it is afterall a recall. call the dealership and tell them your VIN they will tell u over the phone if the recall was ever performed on your car. If not schedule an appointment with them and tell them to make sure they order the part in advance (most dealerships dont stock it)
