question about rebuilding a motor.
I dont believe i have the technical knowledge to rebuild a motor by myself, unless there was a simple write up haha. So i know this thing is expensive.
i might be getting ready to take the z6 out of my ex and throw it in my si crx. it has high mileage(not sure how much, but definately over 180) It runs strong with no leaks, but i am just wondering which part would be better to rebuild, because i dont think i can afford full overhaul. Would it be more cost efficient for the head to be rebuilt? or the block?

rebuliding a motor is not that complicated as long as you have the manual for all the torque specs. if u cant afford the full rebuild then go with the head. with hondas even if you just take the head off and clean it, its like a brand new engine. good luck man
To get the head rebuilt it should cost about 250 Thats resurface the head, regrind the Valve Seats press in new guides clean the head and assemble thats all you should need plus a top end gasket kit. Bottom end is even easyer, I used a tool caled a ball hone and redid the cylinder walls, new rings, main bearings and rod bearings with a bottom end gasket kit. Also like crxricer66 said just get a service guide and follow the touq patterns and spec's.
