FS: 1998 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. Tennessee. $6800
I'm selling my 1998 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. I need a car with some more space, and a bit newer. Also, i'm tired of having a black car. In Johnson City, TN. Two hours east of Knoxville.
This car is in really good condition. Not perfect, though most 10 year old cars aren't. It also has quite a few added mods and features. I bought this car back in the summer of 2007, with the block cracked and the outside in rough condition. I did almost all of the work myself or with my dad, besides exterior work which I had a professional local body shop do. It's got 110k, and climbing. It's my daily driver. I've had a couple of WRX owners tell that my car has a nicer ride to it then their own cars. You really need to ride in it to enjoy it.
Exterior: The paint on this car is in good condition. It has it's fair share of rock chips, mostly on the left driver side door, front bumper and hood. I had the front bumper, Passenger Fender and Passenger door repainted about a month after I got it. The whole car has been debaged/destickered besides the grille. I've had new brake and headlights installed all around. It's also got taillights that aren't stock, though I have no idea what you call them. The windows have been tinted pretty dark, but they're still legal. It's got a set of RSL Wheels on it, though no idea what they're called. Tires are Kumho Exctas. They're pretty new. They have over 50% tread life left. The back bumper has a few marks on it where someone backed into a car. They're not terrible. I'd give the Exterior a 7/10.
Interior: The interior looks nice. The carpet/floormats are in good condition. So are the seats, everything about it. The one bad thing about it is the kid who had it before me put a Subwoofer in the back seat, so now there's a huge hole in the back seat. The only real interior modification is Two Tenzo R guages mounted on the left pillar. They're Water Temp and Air/Fuel gauges I've got new front seat belts in it, too.
Interior is like an 8.5/10
Motor: I installed the motor myself. I gave it new Spark Plugs, Spark Plug wires, Front and Rear Main Seals. The motor has less mileage than the vehicle, but i'm not sure exactly how many miles are on it. The high mark would probably be 60k and the low would be 45k. I put a New Spindle and Bearing in the Passenger Side front. Brakes probably have 50% on them. The Exhaust has a nice rich tone. Several people have told me it reminds them of a WRX. Motor is a 9/10
Mods:
Injen CAI
DC Header
Greddy Strut Tower Bar
Full Greddy Exhaust.
Ex'edy Clutch
Ex'edy Pressure Plate
Eibach Springs
Short Shift Kit.
Altezza Taillights
The Bad:
As mentioned, the back seat.
It needs an AC Condensor,
The paint isn't perfect.
I'm open to trades. But probably not looking for another Subaru.
Really interested in trades for:
EK Hatches and Acura Integras, plus cash on your end. The closer to stock the better.
Other than that, i'm looking for about $6800, firm.
Thanks for checking it out. I've tried to be as honest about it as I can.
