LSD test procedure
I only found this in one old post in this forum. Can someone confirm that this is what is specified in the itr helms? tia.
Lift up the front end.
1) put the car in first and measure how much torque it takes to spin the wheel
2) put it in neutral and do the same.
if 1 divided by 2 is greater than 2.25 you have a problem.

my tires rotate in opposite directions when jacked up, so i assume my lsd is working. but i'm experience some wheelspin in second gear when i take a tight turn, so i'm not so sure its working 100%
I have a JDM GSR motor with the optional LSD and when I jack up the car and turn one tire, the opposite tire turns in the same direction.
We tried this with my friends '99 Si with stock B16 tranny and his tires turned in the opposite directions.
I haven't measured the torque, but is my LSD not functioning properly based on that info?

Before i got my itr i had a 2000 civic si and i swapped a b16b ctr complete swap into it.
I never really beat on it but oneday wanted to make sure the lsd worked so i decided to test it

My 86 s-10 also had its wheels turn in the opposite directions when jacked up. And it didn't not have a limited slip differential, it had a basic diff like any car.

Well, all open-diff's will spin the wheels in the opposite direction. Torsen diff's can turn both wheels in the same or opposite direction. It depends if the preload is enough to lock the wheels when unloaded.
When I jack up my car and spin the driver side wheel by hand in either direction, the other side doesn't move at all. And when I go to the other side the same thing happens. I have a JDM B18C block with a B16A2 Si head with a '00 Si transmission. I was told by the owner that I bought the car from that he had installed an LSD. I've gone out to lay down some tire marks and have gotten two marks on the pavement, but on side looks darker than the other and the car pulls to the right when launching hard. Does any of this sound odd? I've always wondered if the trans has LSD or not, but no time to open it up and check.

Wheels should rotate in opposite direction just like with an open diff.
If your car is stock and road was dry and relatively smooth, and you weren't at wide open throttle, then your tires shouldn't be spinning. Were both wheels spinning ?
