Default Vehicle Alarm issues

I have a Crimestopper CS2000dp-TW2 and having some problems with the wiring. I have almost everything hooked up but for some reason the hood pin and the trunk pin are not working. When I hook up the wiring for the trunk and arm it, it sounds off as if it was open. The hook pin just doesn't work and is hooked to the proper wiring from the instructions. If someone is familiar with this or knows something i might be doing wrong let me know.
Also I would like to know how to properly install a starter kill. It is featured with the alarm and don't have this hooked up yet. Thank you for your time.

Make sure the hood pin is actually disengaging when hood is closed and engaging when it's opened, you need to adjust the height to make sure it's working properly. And if you're installing the alarm for security and not just convenience (ie: doorlocks and other options), I suggest you take some time to research and do it right. If you install an alarm like best buy or other standard installers do (under the dash with wires clearly visible and alarm brain easily accessible), you're not really doing much to prevent thieves. Just my opinion. Btw, there is a good write up at: FAQ's > HOW TO PROTECT YOUR CAR FROM THIEVES http://causeforalarm.thecarthi....html
