You need to be more specific... about what parts you will want to use, whether you just want to build it stock or higher comp etc, what you want to achieve by rebuilding...

I would say as much as you can afford....cheap parts or quality parts....could be from 2g-8g depending on which route you're planning to take with the motor.

cost me about 4k with toda cams and other goodies

 

ive spent 6500+ on a gsr build. Machinework, valvetrain, pistons, rods, tuning, everything. all depends what your power goals are.

 

just taking the OEM gaskets, timing belt, tensioner, water pump, oil pump, ALL bearings, etc. and such, it's like 700 bucks just right there. i ended up ripping some mounts and messing up the gear on the end of the crank pulley... so that added another 150 or so to my build really, the sky's the limit.
