OK heres the deal. 90 civic hatch d15b2 220,000 miles ran it out of oil locked up the cam spun the cam gear. Shop replaced head and gear with used one in shop. picked up car he said it has a surging idle and it just needs some antifreeze to work up to some sensor. Also he said it now had a miss at idle which it does and is ruff taking off. Almost one month later still has surging problem. Also seems to be burning a considerable amount of oil now. Compression check showed good numbers. Just haven't had time to take it back in yet. Does anybody have any ideas i could try here at home without taking it back and not having a car for a day? Did i just get a piece of **** for a head? Paid 300 for the job
