anyone else having a problem with burning oil REALLY quickly. i put a quart of oil in my car on saturday and the bitch was bone dry on tuesday. i smoke 1st through 2nd when i "punch" it. anyone else having this prob, any help would be appreciated, thanks guys

 

Something is wrong with your car or you have a leak. In 3k miles I have to put maybe 1qt. in, but most of the time it stays full. If you do a lot of highway driving or racing then the H22a eats oil, but never that much.

 

Damn dude, check for leaks, I usually get a quart to a half quart low over 3K miles. But a quart a week, somethings wrong. Does it ever smoke at idle? Anything it is doing now that it wasnt before this problem arose? We need more info dude.

 

it never smokes at the idle only when i wind up first and second gear is when it smokes, but only in those 2 gears, never smokes in 3rd or 4th. only noticed it after i put my exhaust on. there arent any oil spots in my drive way so its not leaking that way. i may need to rings or something

sounds like your rings which are a notorious problem with h22a's.

if you have no oil spots on your driveway and see no visibile leaks, do a leak down test.
