I am trying to figure out what color that is.. Does anyone have any idea.. I am wanting to paint my ignorant car that color.... Everytime I see an article on those cars it says "custom" color.. The sylvia is the one in this month's SuperStreet and the RSX is in various mags...

it say's it's candy orange, but I have no idea what the paint code is

 

just painted my civic that color its candy tangerine by house of colors, they have different shades and i dont remember which one it is to be sure but it has a silver base and the paint complete is about $800

I found in another mag that the Signal RSX is House of color Candy Orange, Has anyone seen these two cars in person to verify that they are the same color cars? Please help guys.. I am dying to have this color.. Thanks!!

 

house of color paint is some of the best you can use......my grandfather will only use that on all of his antique show cars....thats the only paint i will use when it comes time for me to paint my car

 

This is the civic we are building it is using the house of colors candy tangerine.. and it is great paint who ever told you its not good doesnt know what they are talking about or want you to buy something else that they make more money off of.. you can go to an autobody supply store and ask to look at a paint chip book.. there are several shades of this color so if you want it lighter or darker.. but remember the car still has compound on it in this pic so it looks swirly and dirty

The Kandy only comes in one shade of Kandy Tangerine, the base coat is what determines the shade of the Kandy plus whoever sprays the Kandy can make it look a little darker or lighter depending on how they spray it, so just find out what basecoat the Silvia and RSX are using, most likely it looks like some sort of gold metallic or gold pearl base for the Kandy Tangerine on those cars, my friend has a Kandy Tangerine civic with a metallic gold base, its pretty close to the exact same look as those cars, very pimp....gluck!

 

Ive heard that the HoC is different than PPG (lacquer, enamel, i dunno) and thats why its not as good.

Whats the difference between lacquer and enamel?
