Default lower ball joint castle nut

while replacing my axles i managed to screw up the threads on on one of the castle nuts on my my lower ***** joints. I didnt think much of it becasue i had an extra nut from honda lying around. The only problem is it didnt fit becasue last year i ordered replacement no name ball joints online and they use a differnt size castle nut. Any ideas of what i should do or where i can find somewhere that sells castle nuts? Thanks

my best suggestion is to hit up an autoparts store and bring your old castle nut. they sell various sized ones, so u might be able to find a mating one.

Yeah, check any auto parts store or McMaster-Carr should have it for sure as long as you know the thread size & pitch.

Yeah if you don't have any kind of thread gauges, you can go to Home Depot/Lowes and use those little sample boards they have to figure out thread size. That's what I always used to do

Pepboys/Autozone should definitely have some castle nuts.

I usually look in the helms or if the pitch isnt listed i get my tap and die set out and see what works.

Napa and stores like carquest have parts like this readily available. No need to order online.
