everytime i attempt the paper clip trick in the 2 pin connector clip

the cel just keeps blinking and doesnt stop???

 

Maybe you got a CEL for the primary O2 sensor.

 

would that cause my car to die

well my car keeps dieing and not wanting ot keep the battery charged so i have to jump the car to get it started but after im driving for like a minute or 2 everything starts to shut down, cd player, all my gauges aint working, then the engine starts to bog out and i have to keep revving to keep it alive

what else could i use beside paper clip or what am i doing wrong

Paper clip works best. You definitely have a CEL when your car is running?

 

yes the cel comes on while im driving but wont throw me a code

ive got a brand new battery and the battery fuse isnt blown but when i take it off and put it back on the car will start??

anyone got an idea?

 

are the battery terminals all crudded up? loose terminals? check your grounds. check for any blown fuses. Any recent electrical items touched in your car, such as wireing? test alternator?

 

lights blinking, and items shutting off, and new battery drain usually points towards alternator. try to gimp it to advance auto, or some local shop to have them run a alt test.

You realize the cel will blink forever, as it runs in a cycle. You stop counting when there is a pause.

Sounds like you also have a loose connection at the battery or alt. That OR its failing.
Dont keep jumping the car - you have a serious drain, it sounds, so I would disconnect the neg cable each time you park instead.
Then run a draw test until you find the source

 

there is no crud on the battery, i checked the grounds, i only jumped the car once so i can get it home, and im going to take it to a local shop and have it tested

and im not sure how to run this draw test

its now throwing code 3 which is map sensor

would that cause all these problems?
