how can i tell if i have a B18C5 block????
a few months ago i got a new bottom end from acura. They at first told me they wouldnt give me the new bottom end because i used nitrous to blow it up. This was true they did it anyway. When i got it back i noticed that my block no longer said B18C5 on it....It says B18B.....no just kidding .....its blank. I did a compression test and there was 210 psi dead on in all 4cylinders. Should i bother bugging acura for a block with an engine code on it?

Wow even dealerships are selling stolen stuff now.
so nobody knows of anything i can look for to tell what block i have????
If the people at the dealership don't want to help I would contact the owner of the dealership or contact Acura Customer Care and tell them that you have an engine that was replaced by the dealership that does not have an engine code, and does not have a serial number on it...you are worried about the possible reprecussions if/when a police officer, smog referee, or a potential buyer looks at the engine as it looks like it's a stolen motor that someone is trying to hide, which could possibly lead to your arrest, impounding of the car, making the vehicle no longer smog legal, and reducing the possibility of you selling the vehicle at a later date.
Good luck and I hope that this helps.

I agree with Austin on how to handle this situation.
But, before you go to the dealership can you please snap a pic of where the motor code/serial number is supposed to be. I don't think I have ever come across a block with out a motor code and serial number before.

ben, the gsr also has oil squirters
if it has oil squirters then is it a c5 block? or all b18's have?
when they rebuilt my botom end im pretty sure they didnt change the crank. I think they just machined it. So i could have an ITR crank in a different engine block.

As long as it has ITR internals, that's all that matters.
You should be thankful they even helped you after you blew it up with nitrous.
