Ok, i searched and i only came up with 2 threads both not what i am looking for.

I have a h22a4 head that i will be putting on a h22a1 block. The block is a 1996. I have been told that the 1996 is different from the 1993-95 h22's. Which headgasket do i have to use?

Do i use the one from the 5th gen preludes?
Do i use the one from the 4th gen prelude 1996?
Or do i use the one from the 93-95 (i don't think it is this one but just checking)?

Help me out guys, my friend works at honda and is ordering some parts for me needs the info asap!

 

i believe you always use the HG from the block you are running.

 

i remember reading something about this on this website. I can't find it. I have been reading the faqs section and nothing. Gawd!

 

use the headgasket that fits the block.

 

Then that is what i shall do. It is $80 cheap than the 97-01
