sure you can use it, but it will probably still run like an hf! since you don't have the ecu to run better fuel/timing!

You can use this ECU, but you will get a check engine light and a code because the ZC engine does not have the EGR system like the HF engine does. Go to the junkyard and grab and ECU for an 88 - 89 Acura Integra 5 speed, it will work great.

I would be concerned, the Si works but not that great TEG is much better and the JDM ZC ECU is best of the factory pieces, you can get a Si or TEG rechipped with ZC fuel maps. Never heard of ANYONE trying to run it with HF ECU. I would hesititate on the side of caution, too lean will damage the motor.

I ran an HF ecu on a D16z6 swap and it ran real nice except for the 5500 fuel cut and check engine light for missing EGR valve that the HF only had. It would have been a good ECU if it had a higher rev limit and no EGR code. Didn't run lean or bad either.

Running lean is what I'm afraid of...CRASH...no more ZC engine. Thanks for the offer for the PG7's but I'm holding out for a PM7...got one on Ebay I have my eye on . I lost the bid for the last one...we'll see how this one goes.

The only down side to the JDM ZC ECU is the 112 Mph limiter programed into it as ALL JDM ecus have, Even the JDM B16 ones. All cars sold in Japan by law have it. It can be chipped to remove it. but if you don't expect to be driving faster than that then it doesn't matter. I myself have never run up against it yet. I'll have it chipped if it becomes an issue to me which I doubt it will with the type of driving I do. and I doubt you will run up against it on the 1/8 or 1/4 track unless you are running major nitros or a turbo, and if you have turbo you are better off with Hondata ecu anyway.

I haven't gone over 100MPH since.....I was about 18 or 19, almost a decade ago!!!so the 112 limit won't be a problem. From what I've read, the PM7 IS THE ECU to match up with the ZC, although the PG7 "will" work. As for the HF ECU...I'll keep ya posted.
