Default accord saloon rear speakers

hi, friend has a 1996 model accord 1.8 saloon. it has no rear speakers so he is thinking of getting me to fit some, anyone know if there is any speaker wires hiding in the back somewere ready to plug into some new speakers or will i have to wire up my self from the head unit to the rear of the car?

any help appreciated, thanks

did accord even come in 1.8L .....not sure but there should be wires in the back they may have been tucked into the trunk panels but they should branch off the main harness back there

I'm not 100% on the EDM models, if the wires would be there or not. If the wires are there they would be strapped under the rear seat deck and visible from inside of the trunk.

I think they still run the wires, but it is just clips on the end. At least, that is how it is for my mom's old mitsubishi back in the day.

there is 1.8l in edm accords..

there should be wires, coz if there is no wires then you would be getting no sound..

I actually just bought a 94 DX model (usdm) last weekend and it also didnt come with any rear speakers.. i was wondering the same exact thing, we need a definite answer!! if there are any speaker wires ran to the back, where exactly could we find them?? bump for answers

You have the car there so why not take the carpeting and plastics out of the back and check for yourself. If there not already there then you have a good head start on running some yourself

anywho.. i found them yesterday, they were mounted up against the back panel where the speakers go, so i cut the holes in the board and spliced the wires and yadda yadda now i have rear speakers. thanks for the swift kick in the ***.. as soon as i posted i said u know what lemme just go check ..lol..

and calling a grown man "buttercup" isnt cool
