After the car(auto sedan) heats up, theres a weird noise that starts when you slow down in any gear except first. It almost sounds like an impact wrench going off in the distance. I think it might be the radiator fan trying to come on...is there any way to test it?

u can go under youcar and hit the cat with ur hand and see if u can reproduce the noise

 

um...okay...it doesnt just happen for a sec., it last 4-5 seconds.
