Default CD5 hood damper

not sure if im starting this thread in a right topic. well im talking about my accord so it sound right but its more like im looking for parts so it also sound like it should be in WTB topic

ANYWAYS,

i was looking for a hood dampers for my 97 accord

i know tein makes ones for civics, tegs, etc but do they make ones for accords?

i found one made by a company called MimoUSA but not sure about quality. they are sold for aroudn $95 +shipping.

has anyone used it?

i'm looking to spend up to $200

and if anyone knows what brand makes hood dampers for accords, plz LMK

I got some Soki Tech ones from eBay that work well. They have the Mimo ones on Gen5alive. I am really happy with them and they are cake to install.

actually i found the one u r talking about last night but i was looking for one that does not require drilling holes. is there one like that?

by looking at the spots i have to drill, its gunna be a b!tch to replace fenders later
correct me if im wrong about the spots

Yes, both the ones on eBay and the ones on Gen5Alive both utilize factory holes. You just take out a bolt, replace it with a bolt with the ball mounted on top and call it a day. took me about 5 minutes to install them on my car. Nothing permanent and looks good. If you need help, I can post up my install I did on Gen5.

v6 has a a different chassis and hood.
