So I am having an issue taking apart some crx Si seats I picked up. Bosters are a bit worn, so I am going to re-do those a bit and clean up the fabric.

I am having an issue removing the reclining lever as one of the bolts seems to be underneath the coiled spring... Has anyone taken these apart before that can help.

I did search, but came up with nothing.

I have reupholstered crx si seats before, and I didn't have much trouble. I don't remember any hidden bolts....pics would help.

 

Those 14mm bolts hold the upper half of the seat onto the lower half, along with the allen bolt on the other side. But you really don't need to do that to remove the cover/foam pieces.

The easiest way I've found is to undo the metal clips on the back, then reach inside and undo the springs that tie the seat back to the metal seat bracket.

Then you need to remove the headrest holder. Pop off the button, and remove the screw. Then reach inside the seat and squeeze the plastic tabs while pulling the holder up (I used a small screwdriver).

The cover and foam should be loose then, and should slide off with some persuasion.
