Default Brake Fluid Leaking... Rear Drums the cause?

A friend of mine suggested to me that there could be fluid leaking from the rear drums and that 92-95 civics developed that kind of problem.
I'm going to check the calipers for tears this weekend but is there anything in specific about the drums to look at?
They also tend to not hold evenly when the parking brake is up.

check the brake hoses for tear and wear. check the brake bleeders..check brake hoses goes from chassis to calipers and rear drum..if they are loose

Well do you see fluid on your drums? Your going to check you calipers for tears huh? Yeah those metal things are flimsy as hell and tear like paper. Just change your rear drum pads and be done with it

what? rear drums but you're gonna check the calipers? weird, cause if i'm correct, there aren't calipers on a drum brake set-up. wheel cylinder sounds like the culprit...

No..... the calipers have a rubber boot in them that can tear and leak fluid...

A friend of mine told me that rear drums on 92-95 civics tended to go bad, I don't remember the specifics so it seemed to be a good idea to at least check them. I was just wondering if someone else heard of this.

And YES i was going to check the calipers in case the rubber seals went bad and were torn or something wasn't bolted up right.

yes the caliper has a boot, but that just protects the piston from contamination. the piston rides on a teflon seal.

Be sure to inspect the rear wheel cylinder, which is a common location for leaks:
