Default New guy here.. Couple questions... DA with B16.

Well, I lucked into a DA with a B16 in very good shape. Runs great, and the body is pretty straight with decent paint. It does however, have a few quirks...

First, it looks like the passenger motor mount is broke... but the motor doesn't move excessively. Should I worry? If so, where should I get the mounts from?

Second, the crank pulley on the motor looks chipped and its causing the PS belt to fray along the sides. I decided to order a billet aluminum crank pulley, that comes with detailed instructions and part numbers for belts to use with it. Any worries here, or did I do okay?

And third... The brake and reverse lights dont work. The parking lights come on when I turn on the headlights, but when I press the brake, they dont light up. And the reverse lights dont work. We checked the fuse box under the dash and didn't see a brake fuse. What are we missing here? It does have some cheap looking black and red altezza tailights, but I dunno if that has something to do with it. I would order OEM tails, but need some money first. Lol.

Thanks in advance for your help and I hope to learn more than I already know here.

PS. Its a 92 Integra 2D. Ill get some pics tomorrow if you guys would like.

ok, as for your back up lights...open your hood. look down at the front side of the tranny. there are going to be two plugs coming off of the main harness and two from the tranny itself. on each set of plugs one will be a male and one will be a female. make sure they are all plugged in. i had this problem when i first bought my integra as well. if they are plugged in and still not working, then try replacing you back up light switch.

brake light issue...check all wiring. make sure your brake light switch is plugged into the wiring (will be at the top of your brake pedal)

as for the crank pulley...i am not a fan of aftermarket crank pulleys unless they are balanced. if they are not, it cam harm the motor. oem crank pulley for the win in my book.

hope that helps you

How can I tell if the pulley is balanced or not?

i would get a stock pulley. and about the brake lights it is probably the brake light switch that is located under the dash on the top of the brake pedal. see if the button that hits the brake pedal is functioning properly, sometimes they get kicked sideways and dont touch the pedal.

you can pick up mounts from your local junkyard. or if you want a full set of after market mounts for added stiffness, you can check out innovative mounts. im pretty sure they're the ones that sell "stock" mounts for our integras. or you could go to the junkyard, and then go to your local parts store and get a silicone sealer and fill your mounts to make them stiffer. if you search on here or other forums you can find write-ups about doing it. honestly, for the time being, i think this is what im going to do until i can afford after market ones.

Ah.. Figured out the brake lights. A manual I have said it was fuse 37...and I couldnt find it under the dash...

I looked in the fuse box next to my ABS unit, and pulled both 20 amp fuses and replaced them and they work now... So it was just a simple fuse I couldnt find. Lol...

About the pulley, where can I find a stock one? Ive checked Advance and Autozone to no avail... The aftermarket one that I saw, I showed to several people that know a lot about cars and they said it didn't look like it would cause any problems, so I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Why don't you just call up the company that sold you the pulley and see if it is balanced. (it looks ok from even a mechanical engineer means nothing). You could get an OEM from the dealer of course, or on the cheaper side (maybe) from a junk yard.
