Default Possible radio interfearence from HID?

I installed some HID's about a year ago on my 00 accord coupe. They're phillips and i bought them from a guy on the HT marketplace. alls good untill recently when i have the HID's running, there's faint static on my radio stations...stock 6-disc in dash unit and everything...? any help guys?

Do you have the wiring shielded? Might be worth while to insulate the ballasts and wiring.

What do you recomend using to insulate? i have the ballasts mounted just bellow each strut mount...any suggestions?

Something like that probably wanna search around and see what you can find, you can probably get away with just doing the antenna wire with that.

Probably be worth it, it's possible your HIDs are hitting a frequency that's interrupting the radio.

Does it happen with CD's as well?

nope, just the radio. Come to think of it that makes a lot of sense. Now mechanically it would be easier to sheild the HID wires, would i get the best results by doing that or should i go straight for the antiena wires?

Yep if it's not messing with CD's I'd wager that's your problem

Either way would work, you just need to shield it. If the HID wires are easier (I'm sure they are) I'd just wrap those up and you should be good.
