Default old tires bald: Falken Azenis ----> new tires ordered: XXXXXXX your thoughts?

new: just got em:
i am down to the wear level 2/32" after about 12k miles. I didn't drive the car hard the first 8K miles or so, then I started taking corners pretty hard.

they're rated at 10K miles, but I did not get the tires aligned which may have caused some premature wear.

this time I'll get alignment for sure as I want these to last a LOT longer.

they're almost one of the most expensive tires i've found and most highly rated on tire rack.com ...tell me what you think:

Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position

225/45/17's. I had no issues with my previous Azenis in this size on stock suspension.

It rains a lot here in oregon, so I wanted the best all season tires I could get.

Hopefully these are GREAT in dry weather too

your thoughts? or what could I have gotten in this size that's better for $200 or less?

thanks for your feedback.

Im either getting Michelin Pilot Sport(not sure exact model designation) or RT615s within the next few weeks. My dad has Pilot sports of some type on his 911 and they pick change up off of the floor if you drive over it

added a pic. yikes!

I can't keep a straight line very well even in dry pavement on the highway!

and it rains a lot here in oregon -_-

I was taking a sharp turn and i pulled a little on my ebrake and the rear end almost came around too far was a little scary--won't try it again.

wow, can't keep a straight line on dry ?

I dunno about what you bought, but they look good... I just ordered some RE-01R myself since I got winter tires last year so might as well enjoy summer tires now ! Hope to get em soon !

huh? yes I do have an 06.

what do you mean rear camber... i didn't realize there was some known issue with it.

is that the reason for premature wear? my friends are saying they're getting more life out of the falken azenis,....but didn't i do just fine if they are rated at 10K miles?

also my stock Pilots lasted for over 30K...and I purposely tried to wear those down for a couple months by burning out, etc.

Had the Bridgestone 960s on my '05 Honda EX-V6. Awesome tires. I think Bridgestone makes the best tires out there. Just look at the tires they provide for F1. The 960 is indeed rated the highest in it's ranking based on the tire type and I think you'll love them. I used to buy Yokos before when I owned a couple VW GTIs. But I think Bridgestones are far better. Good luck with them.

just got em. very happy with them

I guess according to tire rack, these aren't as good as the PNeros. they have a better overall rating though. the pneros suck in snow
