hey whats up i am looking for a part number for the latch on my rear hatch. the 'loop' part. it is number 18 in the diagram. i went to acuraoemparts.com and they dont list a part number for #18.

my hatch rattles because there is an indentation in the latch's loop from all the years of opening/closing the hatch. i usually put tape around it to keep it snug and to stop the rattling, but im getting tired of having to apply new tape every time the rattle comes back.

can anyone help me with a part number and or price?? i need a brand new one! thanks for any help!

okay so after looking into this striker part some more on the acuraautomotiveparts.org site, i am seeing different prices for different years, which is odd..

another funny thing is that this part is not listed for 94 and 95 RS integras (which is why i couldnt find it), only 96 and 97 integras. here are the prices i got:


96-97 striker - part #74813-ST7-000 - $22.23

98-01 striker - part #74813-ST7-A00 - $13.01

shouldn't this part be the same on all 94-01 2dr integras? i dont see why there would be a difference, especially in the price! hopefully someone can shed some light on this mystery..

junkyard way cheaper

 

junkyard may be an option, but i dont mind buying a whole new striker since i am looking for one with no wear/indentation which is causing the rattle.

i am just curious as to why they are listed as different parts with different prices!

because i guess if they are really different from each other, i might need to buy the more expensive one.

probably why you don't have one listed for the rs is that the rs doesn't have a trunk popper?

It should still work. But they did change the rear a little bit in '98 so..
