Default Oh No! Car broken! Sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't

Yeah, so I just got my car back from the mechanic. I had a blown headgasket on a d15b8 head, so I switched my p05 ecu over to p28 and got a z6 head, dizzy and new NGK spark plugs.
So when I was at the mechanics place after he fixed it, the car ran just fine. I mean it started right away and everything, but today I tried to back out of my driveway today and when I gave it some gas it bogged out. It wouldn't wanna start afterwards and I didn't hear the fuel pump working any more. So I put in my new 255 walbro fuel pump and it started great. Right after it died again when I gave it a little gas. After some screwing around it started and I drove it around a little. After I parked it and tried to start it, it took me at least another 10 minutes for it to finally start up.
I left it back at the mechanics place, but I'm REALLY curious about what the problem could be.
He said I had a bad MAP sensor, so I'm switching that out ASAP, but that alone couldn't be the problem. Could it?

Please help me out, I've been without a car for almost 2 friggin months now and I want my baby back

Thanks~

Is anyone able to help?
Please?
It's a 1992 Honda Civic HB CX. Manual, P28 ecu, D15b block with a d16z6 head and dizzy. Proper tune up parts with the exception of Bosh spark plugs (that I used when I had a d15b8 head)
