Where to Buy 5.5" Coupler
I am in need of either a 5.5" Straight silicone coupler, or a 5.5" to 5" silicone reducer.
If anyone knows who stocks/sell these please let me know.
Any Help would be appreciated!!

i checked http://www.turbohoses.com and they make them custom ordered but that might take to long, but if u have time, sounds like they have them
We got the silicone couplers in 6" for the vettes inlets at home depot. The **** is really durable. You can see them here where the turbo inlet meets the fire wall..
i grabbed a tape measure from the tool department than wondered to the couplers.......your right though, they must measure stuff differently. it seemed on most of the stuff what they had it labeled as, was a different measurement than what i was getting lol
PVC is measured differently than tubing. They measure approximate inside diameter and tubing is outer diameter. On top of that, the ID isn't really true either as it varies by schedule so the only thing constant is the OD. It is pretty stupid, kind of like how a 2x4 is really 1.5x3.5.
Jeff,
Call these guys. We have had them make me 7" and 8" couplers before.

I know the ones at lowes/home depot are always difffrent sizes. When i needed a 3 inch i had to buy a 3.5 and so on with smaller couplers, make sure to take a tap measure,im thinking that the 6.00 will work for you!!
Good Luck!
Good Luck!
the O.D. for 5" pvc is 5.563" so a 5" rubber pvc coupler should be close enough to work... that is for standard sch40 pvc like whats used in the electrical trade.
I called up the cantex and carlon factories, they are major manufacturers of pvc conduit, fittings, etc.
the sizes you see listed on thats stuff is based on inside diameter of the pvc pipe. so a couplers actual I.D. will be larger obviously that listed to accomidate for the wall thickness.
