Default Shorten engine harness grounds /ECU

if anybody who is savvy with ECU's could help me on this;
I was wondering about moving the 3 harness grounds located on the T-stat housing, to the most efficient common ground [the chassis]. The 2 reasons for doing this is-
1: shorten the ground wires, to hopefully make the small tiny wires more efficient. I heard this helps ground loops, and the shorter the ground length the better.
2: sure the engine is grounded, but wouldnt it be more efficient to ground the ECU and engine ground harness to the chassis?

But why did honda place the grounds here? are the specific lengths for a reason? I know the apexi V-fac's grounds are different lengths for a reason.

If I spiced the harness open, and cut the wires near the chassis and grounded them there, would this affect A/F ratios? Anybody who did a custom harness ever do this? thanks

The "small" wires are perfectly capable of passing the current they see. Be careful you aren't actually adding length to the ground path by grounding to the chassis. The T-stat ground point is used to eliminate potential problems with a chassis ground. The engine receives a nice fat ground cable and is a big chunk of conducting metal.

If you don't muck up the ground connections by just twisting and taping, and shoving the bare wire end under a screw against painted metal, I don't see any reason the A/F ratio should be affected.

id be shortening the ECU ground by 2.5ft. The other 2 brown ones i believe by 3 feet.

Just splicing open the harness open and cutting the wires near the chassis ground points closest.

this way its easier for me to clean them from time to time......the T-stat grounds are corroded anyway.
