Bar Legal Question b16 p30 ecu
i want to bar my jdm obd1 b16a 2nd gen in my eg...i was told i have to use a USDM p30 but i was wondering if i can use my JDM p30?
how come ppl say it uses pr3 but when i got my clip it came with a p30?
another question is what else would i need to replace or get in order to bar my motor. the obd1 b16 is completely stock that came off a JDM EG clip

Chances are you probably won't pass with your JDM P30. It's hard to say how clean it will run out the tailpipe. But the ref will typically look at the ECU and verify the code to make sure you are running a USDM P30. As for what else you need to replace, you probably don't have to repalce anything. BUT, you may have to add some things. From my experience, some JDM motors lack a purge valve and/or VTEC pressure switch. These will have to be used along with the USDM P30 ECU.
As for the PR3, 2G B16As from 1992-1993 Integras use an OBDI PR3 ECU. But it sounds like your B16A came from a 1992-1995 Civic SIR, and not an Integra.
